silent but deadly

Howdy all y’all – MPF reporting to gossip factory #1 here – hoping your ju-ju is treating you well !

On this side – i got some werk with fringe festival this year doin’ posters + kieran ,lach and i are part of a show with ’em in late september too (“surface” at docklands). In another wall mural this weekend in melbourne’s cbd at my current studio’s, misty bar, hosier lane – across from fed. sq on flinders st.(Sunday 4 – 6pm) also doing much press through sydney group show “extra classic” and talkin’ up the comics a.m.a.possible (mags like ‘monster children’ ‘black and white’ and ID with the cover story this month for ‘desktop’) Also, i heard that froth17/pumice -comic/record was reviewed in ‘wire’ mag…havn’t seen that yet. i also did a wall/menu in the back bar of the rob roy hotel (brunswick st fitzroy)too.

We started having monthly ‘get-togethers’ due to not seeing enough of each other in our regular lifestyles – last saturday of the month at st.jeromes cafe/bar in new caladonia lane in the cbd. 4 o’clock is about when we start to rock

….and yeh, there’s other stuff i s’pose, but isn’t this rambling on enough already? Oh, TrueFantasy is lookin saweet with an update/lowdown on specifics coming later this month. Sparks is lookin’ fine alright and lachlan says it may just get bigger and bter (and come out a bit later). He also states that the barracks of silentarmy.com are in completion. As are new funny books from kieran (rabbit) and michael (froth 18)to be unveiled at the fest.

yes, there are way too many fun things to do when you spread your wings. Bye!

Indie Indonesia

FIRMANSYAH RACHIM at Indiecomic.endonesia.net covers a variety of self-publishing topics including “indie comics as a lifestyle”.

Even if you can’t read Indonesian, scan the article – there’s enough loanwords to get the gist that he’s on the right track.
